Chaplain Yasin Ahmed
Chaplain Yasin is focused on empowering young people and building interfaith
coalitions to establish strong mutually beneficial communities. He is currently
serving as a Muslim Chaplain at Trinity College, Choate-Rosemary Hall, and Madina
Academy in Connecticut. In addition to providing pastoral care, educating Muslims
and Non-Muslims on Islam, Yasin also commonly speaks on Islamophobia, American
Muslims, and community development.
He spent time studying Islam traditionally at Nakhlah Institute before enrolling at
the Hartford Seminary where he is completing a Masters in Muslim-Christian
Relations with a focus on Islamic Chaplaincy. He also has a background in
Communication and Labor Studies from Rutgers University. When not working,
Chaplain Yasin is an avid reader and basketball enthusiast. Yasin now coordinates
with his former youth group members and students on how to lead their own
communities.
